Tucker Technique Series: Hollow Cube 60
This class is a technique building class utilizing the Studio 180 Design’s Star 60 tools and the technique sheet Hollow Cube 60.
You will learn to make the cube and build a circle of cubes by strategically placing color within the design.
Pattern/Tool Requirements
-Required tools: Star 60 Tool
-Required Technique Sheet: Hollow Cube 60 (includes sizing from 3” to 18” cubes)
Fabric Requirements
-Fabric Suggestions for approximately 24” x 24” wall hanging using 6” finished cube size.
-½ yard light fabric
-½ yard medium fabric
-½ yard dark fabric
-½ yard background fabric (included enough for binding)
-Please press and starch the fabric prior to class.
Please bring the following items to class:
-Basic Sewing Supplies For Class and your favorite sewing machine for piecing
-Rulers:
-Magic Wand ¼” ruler
-Ruler capable of measuring 1 ¼” and 2 ½” WOF strips
-Invisigrip for the back of your Studio 180 Star 60 rulers to prevent slippage when cutting
-Pressing stick (I love my wool covered one!) – for pressing some seams open
-Chalk pen or other marking tool
-Fine tip sharpie
-Best Press or other fabric spray starch
-Rotary cutter and fresh blades
